Dead Dogs: Do Not Eat is a fan-created zine centered on dead dove content for Bungou Stray Dogs. This zine will feature both authors and illustrators. There will be both physical and digital items.
All BSD ships and content are welcome.

Q: What is a zine? For that matter, what is a dead dove zine?
A: A zine (short for magazine) is a fanmade magazine or book that includes contributions from a variety of artists and writers. A dead dove zine focuses specifically on the darker parts of fandom, which may contain triggering or otherwise unsafe content.
This includes (but is not limited to) topics such as violence, whump, hurt/no-comfort, noncon/dubcon, underage, gore, and other ‘dark’ tropes. A mainstream example of dead dove content is Game of Thrones, which contains many of the tropes listed above and more.
Dead dove and dark content writers have a healthy adult understanding that fictional content is not real world content.
This zine is a celebration of all dead dove and dark content creators, who are often lacking the support and love that is given to other creators.TLDR; Read at your own risk.
Q: Is this zine NSFW?
A: YES. This is absolutely a R18+ zine. Because of this, all works must be properly tagged.
Q: What's the minimum age to apply?
A: You must be at least 20 years of age by March 1st, 2023. Due to the dark nature of this zine, the age requirement for contributors is a little higher than most other zines.
Q: What do I get for contributing?
A: All contributors are guaranteed a free digital copy of the zine and digital merch. Depending on how many orders we receive, contributors will also be sent compensation ranging from physical-zine-only bundles to full-merch bundles for free. If we are not able to provide physical zines for free, contributors will have the opportunity to purchase the zine and merch at production cost.
Q: What are the guidelines for submissions?
A: Please see submission guidelines here.
Q: How many contributors will this zine be accepting?
A: Because this is a dead dove zine and therefore errs on the darker side of fan content, contributor distribution will be greatly influenced by contributor interest. We are aiming to have at least a 1:4 ratio of writers to artists.
Q: What pairings and content are allowed?
A: All Bungou Stray Dogs pairings are allowed. All content is allowed, but must be properly tagged.
Q: Do I need prior experience to participate?
A: Absolutely not! No prior experience is necessary. Everyone who loves dead dove is welcome to apply!
Q: Can I post WIPs or stream my art?
A: Please do not post full WIPs of your zine piece. Thumbnails and small teasers are OK. Please use your best judgment! We will also provide preview templates for contributors to share on their social media later on in the process.
Q: Can I post or sell my finished art?
A: Contributors retain all rights to their artwork and writing! However, we do ask that you only post and/or sell your art after orders have been fulfilled. This will ensure the best possible experience for everyone! Mods will also let you know when it's OK to post your pieces independently.
Q: Can I apply for more than one role?
A: You can apply for as many roles as you like, but you will be selected for one position only.
